ANNE DE SALVO is an accomplished Broadway actress. She studied Fine Arts at Temple University and Tyler School of Art. Credits include GEMINI (OBIE AWARD and SHOWBUSINESS AWARD for Distinguished Performance) as well as SAFE SEX opposite Harvey Fierstein. She was nominated for a BEST ACTRESS BARRYMORE AWARD for the musical version of GEMINI as Maria Callas. Anne won the BEST ACTRESS AWARD at the Pasadena Playhouse's for LEND ME A TENOR. She's appeared in countless films including ARTHUR, TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS, MY FAVORITE YEAR, STARDUST MEMORIES and TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS. Her television credits include playing Lee Strasberg's daughter in the EMMY AWARD-winning, THE LAST TENANT, as well as appearing in ENTOURAGE, THE CLOSER, MONK, CSI-MIAMI, SEX IN THE CITY and was nominated for a BEST ACTRESS CABLE ACE AWARD for WOMEN WITHOUT IMPLANTS which she produced, wrote, directed and starred in. She's been on the faculty at the Strasberg Institute as well as USC.
The Promenade Playhouse & Conservatory is a Santa Monica based Acting, Screenwriting and Directing school that serves artists from Los Angeles, Hollywood, and throughout California. The Conservatory offers acting, screenwriting, directing, and improv comedy classes. It is a well-respected school that serves both local and international students. International students can also take English As A Second Language classes (ESL), and may qualify for a federal F1 Visa. Instructors include Natalia Lazarus, Syd Field, Matt Moore, Sally Kirkland, and several other celebrity teachers and Hollywood Casting Directors. Alumni include Ken Jeong, Teresa Ruiz and Leslie Garza. Acting techniques include Stella Adler, Lee Strasberg, Sanford Meisner, and Michael Chekhov. The Playhouse is home to 3rd Street Comedy and the Promenade Players theatre company. The Promenade Playhouse also offers theatre rental, stage rental, screening rooms, and rehearsal space.
