International Students

The Promenade Acting Conservatory is one of the very few acting schools registered with the California Department for Private, Post-Secondary and Vocational Education, which qualifies enrolled international students to receive a Federal F-1 Student Visa. The Conservatory is also a member of the National Associate of the Schools of Theatre and the Drama Teachers Association of California.

International Student Application Process

APPLICATION FEE: USD $150

  1. Complete the International Student Application, selecting the session you wish to attend.
  2. Two(2) letters of recommendation on letterhead. Recommendation letters should be from professionals, co-workers, teachers, and directors. One recommendation letter may be personal.
  3. Headshot/Photo of yourself for identification purposes
  4. A resumé of any previous training and or experience. (note: previous experience is not required to attend the conservatory)
  5. An essay between 125 and 250 words on "Why I wish to attend the Conservatory."
  6. Send Application Package (include all required items). There is a USD $150 non-refundable application fee. Payments can made via the following (Contact the Conservatory for details on how to make payment.)
    • Wire payment directly
    • Credit Card or Debit Card payment
    • Bank Draft, Cashiers Cheque, International Money Order overnighted with application package to the Conservatory. (note: this may incur a 14 day delay in processing

International Student Registration Process

REGISTRATION FEE: USD $150

  1. Receive a Letter of Acceptance from the Conservatory.
  2. Send payment in full for the program you wish to attend. Payments can made via the following, (Contact the Conservatory for details on how to make payment)
  3. Obtain and fill-out an United States of America 'F' Visa application (http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/types/types_1268.html) student visas.
  4. Take all documents to your United States Embassy or Consulate for VISA approval.
  5. Inform the Conservatory of housing arrangements or request assistance for housing from the Conservatory.
  6. Obtain Flight ticket.
  7. Arrive in the United States with sufficient time to report to the Conservatory and attend Orientation, one day before Class Session begins.
